No one has to work with you

What difference would it make if we viewed everyone we worked with as volunteers? How would it change our interactions if we didn’t feel like people had to work with us?

A volunteer can up and leave at any time if they feel the work isn’t worth their time or they are not being treated right. This means we tend to appreciate volunteers more and value what they bring to us. We work hard to ensure they feel like the work they are doing has a strong purpose. We go out of our way to show them respect.

Isn’t this what everyone deserves? In the end, we are all volunteers.
