This Privacy Policy explains how Build a Kick Ass Company™ ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects the personal information we receive from visitors to buildakickasscompany.com (the "Site"), and from clients and newsletter subscribers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the revised version here and update the "Effective starting" date above.

1. Who we re

Build a Kick Ass Company™ provides leadership training, team and culture development, Personality Dimensions® training, and keynote speaking. We're based in Brockville, Ontario, Canada.

2. Information we collect

When you visit the Site: Our servers automatically record standard technical information your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We may use cookies to support basic site functionality. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the Site may not work properly if you do.

When you contact us or sign up for the newsletter: We collect the information you provide directly, typically your name and email address, and for client inquiries, details about your organization and what you're looking for.

When you become a client: We collect the information needed to deliver our services and manage the business relationship, such as your name, email, organization, and invoicing details.

3. How we use your information

We use the personal information we collect to:

Respond to your inquiries and deliver the services you've booked
Send you the newsletter and related updates, if you've subscribed
Process invoices and payments
Improve the Site and how we communicate with clients
Meet legal and accounting requirements (for example, retaining financial records as required by law)

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. How we share information

We only share personal information with the service providers ("sub-processors") that help us run the business, listed in Section 7 below. These providers only use your information to perform the specific task we've engaged them for.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our legal rights or the safety of others.

5. Payments

If you purchase a product or service through the Site, payment is processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store your credit card information ourselves. Training and consulting services are paid by cheque or EFT/ACH, not credit card, so we never collect or store your credit card information for those services.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to:

Know what personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Request that we delete your information
Object to how we're using your information
Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time (use the "unsubscribe" link in any email, or contact us directly)

7. Sub-processors

We use the following third-party service providers to help run the business:

Mailchimp — email newsletter delivery
Wix — website hosting and forms
SurveyMonkey — surveys and assessments
Microsoft 365 — email and business operations

Personality Dimensions® assessments: If you complete a Personality Dimensions® assessment through us, that assessment is hosted by Career/LifeSkills Resources Inc. (CLSR), the organization behind Personality Dimensions®. Your assessment data is handled under their own privacy policy, available at personalitydimensions.com/privacy-policy.
